JSD Oil and Gas SCAM in Calgary
Their is a recruiting company in Calgary,AB stating they will find you a job in the oil and gas industry, it is a SCAM!!!! They take your money and then don't deliver. Do not go to that company. The president is Michael Delorme. IT IS A SCAM. They dont physically have an office just a PO box. He is a sweet talker and will try very hard to egt your money. He preys on families and doesn't care what happens to them financially.

Our firm has assisted over 3000+ clients surrounding their career development planning for the past seven years both in Canada and internationally. We are uncertain who posted this blog and furthermore, would like to know who is so upset with our services, to say such a derogatory comment about what we do or who we are? I am truely appauled at the alligations presented on this page and hope the author of this blog contacts our office immediately to discuss his/her concerns.

I agree his company is a scam. I went and signed up with them about 4 years ago. I hounded them and houded them for 2 years to find me something. I even refered 6-8 people to his business. I he didn't find one of them jobs either. they take your $500.00 and don't deliver until you go away.
HEY LONNY, SUBARU!!!!! I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH YOU GUYS, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. THE ONLY TIME HE EVER PHONED ME WAS TO MAKE SURE I WAS COMING WITH THE MONEY. AFTER THAT THE PHONE CALLS & E-MAILS I RECEIVED WERE A RESPONSE TO MY PHONE CALLS.
THIS WENT ON FOR A YEAR & A HALF. EACH TIME I PHONED I WAS SOOOOOO CLOSE TO GOING OUT BUT SOMETHING ALWAYS CAME UP AS TO WHY I COULD NOT GO. FOR A YEAR & A HALF HE NEVER PHONED ME ONCE, I ALWAYS PHONED HIM. WHAT A JOKE.
I ALSO NOTICED THAT HE HAS AT LEAST 15 COMPLAINTS FROM THE BBB. IF HE HELPED 3000+ PEOPLE GET WORK WHY HAS NO ONE COME FORTH DEFENDING MIKE & HIS "ETHICAL PRACTICES"
I filed a complaint with the BBB - no response. here is the letter I got from the BBB. So much for his ethical practices!

Having used head hunter services in Canada, Australia and Algeria (as well as being close friends to a chap whose wife does the HR for an Aussie company): Anyone asking for money from you to FIND you work is full of BS.
Oil companies will PAY head-hunters a finder's fee to bring them qualified people. No one should ever pay ahead of time... next time offer to pay them out of your 1st cheque!!
Sorry to hear someone is out there and takes advantage of the best oilfield workers in the business. Also sorry someone hasn't dealt with this the Alberta oilfield way and put an end to his business by taking him behind the boiler for 3 rounds of horseplay.

On another note... guys, keep following up with the BBB if you truly suspect this is a scam. We pay all these axes for a reason and the Provincial government will research this for you. He'll have to prove his business (including accounting).
If he's taken in money from 100s of people and can't justify it, the BBB can disclose this to you. Then you can move on a class action against him (proving he scammed vs just being a piss poor businessman will be a lawyer's job). Eventually, the law will catch up to him.
It's a small oil patch and the word is out now.

Wow, I new it all along. What a piece of shit. He got me too. The guy is good. He is well prepared with a great pitch that works u inch by inch until his close which makes u think u have a choice. No one wants to wait a month or two so you pay now get in last minute with this supposid group. He has all his props, his pitch, his personal (pure bs) stories and he is smooth. The saying "if it's to good to be true then it probably is" could'nt apply any better. I worked as a pitchmen and thats exactly what he does. He works you inch by inch, he relates to you with something personal, he makes you feel stupid if you dont go for it. He's a professional. I love how he is trying to defend himself on this site. There was an article in the August 16, 2009 Edmonton/Calgary Herald that says he is being charged in March 2010 for unfair business practices etc...we have been unable to find any more info since.

Two other cases are before the courts. Josephine Garcia Ramoso of Edmonton, a foreign employment recruiter, faces charges of fraud and unfair business practices. She's accused of illegally collecting $15,000 in fees from nine Filipino workers, who were never offered jobs in Alberta.
In March, Calgarian Michael James Delorme is scheduled to appear in court to face charges of unfair business practices and illegally charging a $500 fee to a non-temporary foreign worker. Delorme's employment agency licence has been cancelled.

AN UPDATE...
Just found out that Mike did go to court and face charges on March 4, 2010 for unfair business practices and illegally charging a $500 fee to a non-temporary foreign worker.
He plead not guilty and the charges were dropped??? WTF, is there no justice.
I suggest that anyone who SAYS they are charging Mike or going to try to...then do so and stop this thief once and for all.

My friend and I drove from prince edward Island when we were 18 years old to start a career in the oil patch, when we arrived we made contact with a couple surveying companies and had a few jobs that would fly us out the next day but in that time that mother fucker mike delorme returned our phone call and we decided after meeting with him we would hold out for a rig job, so we paid our 500 dollars and waited for over a month in a shit hole hotel on the north end of Calgary and he never delivered.He knew what our situation was and that we obviously had little money! I called that fuck 2 to 3 times a day! Sometimes he would answer and other times he wouldn't for days! He always had an excuse whether it was him being in the hospital or that the plane was leaving next week to the rig! He even took us out to a fuckin gay bar with transfestites, I dunno what kind of sick fuck he is but I would like to find that piece of shit and punch his face in! I don't know how no albertans have done this yet! He is obviously still out there doing this to people under a new name it looks like! Does anyone have any new news on this guy? I have kind a forgot about this whole experience, since it happend like 6 years ago but lately I can't forget the amazing xmas I had eating pizza pops in a shit hole hotel waiting for a complete fuckin schmuck to deliver on my 500 dollar donation!
